This case is a very nice quality, with small lips on each shelf to hold the trains in place if you should bump it when it is opened.

My Review

I love the cabinet, shipping was a bit slow . Otherwise Its to small Can i do a dam return. Or maybe store credit. I still need a beautiful cabinet with wider shelves. Sorry for this inconveince

This is my second item; I already had a black one but only cherry was available now. Lovely finish. It's excellent for my N scale train storage but the one thing keeping me from 5 stars is that the lid locks/opening is at the bottom and so you have to flip it up to open it. Makes it a bit hard if you mount it fairly high up, and it's not easy to prop it up safely. I actually removed the locks and hinges and re-installed them switched, so now I have it open at the top and then the cover swings down: much easier. Would be GREAT if they made this a selectable or dual function where you can choose the opening side.

Had to return it because I bought the wrong one.
